Packing

Cherry Packing

Season: Mid-April through Early June

O-G Packing Company has been packing cherries for over 60 years! With a short seasonal window to work with and a variety of fruit to pack, the cherry season is O-G's busiest. Our plant has five fully operational packing lines that are run by our finest employees. A major portion of our plant facilitates red cherries. One line is completely dedicated to the 'Rainier' cherry, and a separate assembly line is established for export to Japan. Throughout a typical cherry season, O-G packages several million boxes of cherries. At O-G, we work day and night to provide you with the highest quality and finest assortment of sweet cherries in the country.

Blueberry Packing

Season: Late-April through Mid-July

As one of the few fruits native to North America, blueberries have been a favorite snack of Native Americans for centuries. Blueberries are also ranked as having one of the highest antioxidant rates of any fruit or vegetable. Here at O-G, we have an advanced sorting system that tests the integrity of each individual blueberry before packing it to ensure that you enjoy the best that blueberries have to offer.

Walnut Packing

Season: Year-round

When the cherry and blueberry seasons come to an end, we still have our work cut out for us. The walnut harvest provides us with work for the whole year. While not native to North America, the California walnut has come to be recognized as one of the highest quality walnuts of the world. At O-G we specialize in packing both inshell and shelled walnuts, providing you with a product that best fits your needs.

Repacking Services

Fruit is a seasonal commodity and we work hard to ensure that what we package is fresh. When local fruit is out of season, we collaborate with international growers and repack their fruit to be shipped out for domestic consumption. Currently, O-G repacks cherries, blueberries, and asparagus for Chilean growers.
